CARE INSPECTORATE SCOTLAND
A SERIOUS RISK TO THE WELLBEING OF VULNERABLE CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE
The Care Inspectorate Scotland, a scrutiny body which supports the improvement of care services by ensuring they meet high standards, have issued "Guidance on the inclusion of transgender including non-binary young and young people".
Their vision is that everyone experiences safe, high-quality, care that meets their needs, rights and choices.
However the Guidance published does not meet any of the objectives of the vision.
We believe it presents a serious risk to the wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people and have requested its immediate withdrawal.

We identified the following:

-
Concerns about LGBT Youth Scotland
-
Lack of safeguarding
-
Breaches of the Health & Social Care Standards
